In 1982, Remington Arms began a series of knives to be issued annually as reproductions of the famed Remington “Bullet” knives of a half-century before. The knives have been made for Remington by other manufactures, such as Camillus, but are distributed through Remington.
This is a beautiful Remington Silver Bullet R-4466 with 2 Blades and a SlipJoint Knife. This is a collectors edition bullet knife, 1 of 5,000. The serial number on the knife is 1468, the same number on the box. This knife was modified by Smokey Mountain Knife Works, SMKW. They did 3 things to this knife, 1 they added real jigged bone handles, add a serial number and installed a sterling silver bullet shield. This knife has 440 stainless steel blades. This is a baby muskrat with jigged handles and nickel silver bolsters and liners. They are nor cracks at any of the pins, on both sides. Both blades sit deep and well centered when closed. This knife has half-stops, something you don’t see much anymore. This knife is about 3 3/4 inches long when closed and about 6 3/8 inches long when the mail blade is fully opened. This knife comes complete with a Remington box and papers. Due to the grading system of some recent buyers, I am no longer listing knives as "Mint". This knife comes pretty close though, never used, carried or sharpened.
