In 1982, Remington Arms began a series of knives to be issued annually as reproductions of the famed Remington “Bullet” knives of a half-century before. The knives have been made for Remington by other manufactures, such as Camillus, but are distributed through Remington.
This is a beautiful 2007 Remington Bullet knife model number R1128, comes complete with original papers and box. This is a two-blade Trapper with beautiful Cocobolo Wood handles. On the main blade, front side is the word “Remington”. On the secondary blade are etched the words “Silver Anniversary 1982-2007”. The hand honed blades are made of 440 stainless steel, tempered to a Rockwell hardness of 56-59. The liners and bolsters are made of non-rusting brass. Also the bullet shield has “25 years” etched on it. There are no cracks at any of the pins on both sides or the thong hole. Both blades sit deep and well centered. This knife is 4 1/2 inches long when closed and 7 7/8 inches long when the main blade is fully opened. The reflections in the bolsters are from my camera, they are not on the knife. Due to the grading system of some recent buyers, I am no longer listing knives as "Mint". This knife comes pretty close though, never used, carried or sharpened.
