Here is a pair of Remington Bullet knives with Mother-of-Pearl handles and Damascus Blades. The small knife has a serial number of 000 on one bolster. The bullet shield is sterling silver. On the front side of the main blade, on the tang is the traditional Remington logo and on the reverse side is the year 1998. The secondary blade, on the front side of the tang is the traditional Remington logo and on the back side of the tang is the Model Number R1173-D. The larger knife has a sterling silver bullet shield. On the main blade, the front side of the tang is the traditional Remington Logo. On the back side of the blade, the tang has the model number R1123-D. The secondary blade, on the front side of the tang is the traditional Remington Loge. On the reverse side of the tang is the year 1997. Both knives are perfect, there are no cracks at any of the pins or thong hole on both sides. Both knives have half-stops, something you don’t see anymore. Both knives come with a coffin style box that is ceramic and it was provided by Remington. I had a long talk with the brothers Pete & Wallace Rockwell who worked at Camillus. Both said that Remington was to supply Camillus with Mother-of Pearl handles and Damascus blades. They both said that it was a major problem and after a year, Camillus quit making the Remington Bullet knife with Mother-of Pearl and Damascus Blades. The boys think that only 100 sets of these knives were ever made. The reflections on the blades and bolsters are from my camera, they are not on the knife. Due to the grading system of some recent buyers, I am no longer listing knives as "Mint". This knife comes pretty close though, never used, carried or sharpened.
