In 1982, Remington Arms began a series of knives to be issued annually as reproductions of the famed Remington “Bullet” knives of a half-century before. The knives have been made for Remington by other manufactures, such as Camillus, but are distributed through Remington.
This is a beautiful 2008 Remington Bullet Knife, The Veteran, Model RB473. It has beautiful Jigged Bone handles and is considered a Razor Barlow. The main blade is 2 1/2 inches long, the name Remington is etched on the front side of the blade. The smaller pen blade is 1 7/8 inches long and the year 2008 is stamped on the back side of the tang. Both blades sit deep and well centered when closed. The overall length of the knife is 3 1/2 inches. The blades are made of 440 Stainless Steel, with a long nail pull and traditional Remington etched the blade. The blade is tempered to a Rockwell hardness of 56-59. The liners are made of non-rusting brass, the bolsters are nickel silver. There are no cracks are any of the pins on either side. Comes with a box and paper. There is no number on the box, one of the first Remington Knives made by Bear & Sons. The reflections on the bolsters are from my camera, they are not on the knife. Due to the grading system of some recent buyers, I am no longer listing knives as "Mint". This knife comes pretty close though, never used, carried or sharpened.
