The best known trademark for knives manufactured by Carl Schlieper is popular called “Eye Brand” or ‘German Eye” These names aptly describe the tang markings of this Solingen, Germany Company. The logo, an eye plus the word Germany or the words C. Schlieper or Carl Schlieper plus the eye. This knife has 6 Blades, including a Main Blade, a Smaller Blade, a Screwdriver and Cap Lifter, a Champagne Opener, a Leather Punch and a Corkscrew. This knife is about 3 1/2 inches long when the blades are closed and about 6 1/4 inches long when the main blade is open. This knife also comes with a bail. On the front side of this knife, on the handle, it says Carl Schlieper, then a picture of Eye Brand. The second line says Remscneid, Solingen, Batavia-Soerabaia, Semarang-EyeMedan. On the reverse side there is a picture of a worker and below the worker are some of the tools they used in making this knife. The knife will be shipped in a zipper pouch for added protection. The reflections on the blades and bolsters are from my camera, they are not on the knife. Due to the grading system of some recent buyers, I am no longer listing knives as "Mint". This knife comes pretty close though, never used, carried or sharpened.
